Very fresh and good food. Price point a little too heavy, but the meal is very delicious. We got the tostados for an appetizers, all ingredients well put together. My boyfriend enjoyed a Mexican coke with his meal. He got the tampequeña and I ordered the mole, we also ordered some refried beans. All seemed like they were made to order. Again, delicious food and if you're on a budget this is a bit high for the amount of food we had. We paid $62 plus we added a tip. Inside is a smaller space, the tables are smaller but it's cute. Will say that Mr. Alexander did an amazing job with his service as well, very appreciative of the kindness and the way he spaced out the meal.

This is one of these small unassuming Mexican restaurants down on Frankfort Avenue. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I walked in but noticed that it did have a 4.8 rating which is excellent, so I figured it must be worth a try. Glad I stopped in.
To start with our waiter, Alex was very pleasant and helpful. We initially ordered some chips, salsa, and B dip as a trio. They were all excellent. Now I’m not usually a fan of guacamole, but I’ve got to say this is excellent guacamole. Lots of flavor with lots of other vegetables thrown in. It’s a winner. The salsa was also tasty with a slight hint of smoke, probably from the poblano peppers, and it wasn’t runny. It was just right with a little body to it. The bean dip was also superb. Everyone at our table agreed.
At our table, we had an order of gordita, tamales, and tacos. The consensus from the group was everyone really enjoyed their food, enough to say they’ll be back. The rice is not sure typical Spanish or Mexican rice and I really enjoyed the flavor as did others. We had one vegetarian and they were more than happy to accommodate. Several of the dishes can be made vegetarian. They’re bean dip and refried beans are not made with any meat.
No, it’s not a big place inside with only three or four tables but they do a good takeout business. So if you’re interested in the food, but would like to take it home, then order ahead. According to our waiter all of the recipes used for the various dishes and dips are from the owner, who is said to be an excellent chef, and I think you’ll agree when you try it that this is authentic Mexican. They also have a few Mexican drinks, including Mexican Coke in 12 ounce bottles. The prices are very reasonable given the high-quality of the food. It’s all made to order so while it might take a few minutes longer than a typical Mexican restaurant, it’s well worth the wait. Oh, don’t forget to try the Tres Leches cake for dessert. Yum! There’s parking out front and on the side of the building.

Hands down one of the best and Authentic Mexican Restaurants in Louisville. I went here on a whim on my way home and I am so glad I did! Very Reasonably priced and the food is perfection! I can't wait to taste the entire menu!

A wonderful little spot for some great Mexican. Everything was hot and fresh and came out quick. Loved the chips and guacamole, empanadas and the tostadas! So good!

Small but fantastic eatery. Every dish had by our group was delicious. The tampiquena and tamales were favorites, as was the trio of dips (bean, guacamole, salsa) and elote callejero (Mexican corn on the cob). Went while visiting our daughter for her birthday and she recommended it. Would most definitely revisit next time we are in Louisville and have the opportunity.
