I’m extremely disappointed with how things turned out after initially trusting Carteck with repairs to my 2008 Ford Fusion. While the work was completed quickly and the brakes have held up fine, a serious issue with the transmission coolant lines has now cost me an additional $1,000 in repairs. This was entirely due to poor workmanship and misleading communication.
Three weeks after the repair, while I was out of town, my transmission coolant line began leaking profusely at the connection to the radiator. A local Ford garage, acting as an independent and uninvolved third party, inspected the issue and confirmed that the lines had been cross-threaded and that the required o-rings were completely missing. These o-rings are clearly documented in OEM parts diagrams and repair manuals for my specific make, model, and year.
When I contacted the owner, Mike, he insisted that no o-rings were needed and tried to shift blame to the radiator. Rather than take responsibility for a mistake that has now been confirmed by a manufacturer-authorized service center, Mike chose to deflect and deny. I found his response not only disappointing but also manipulative, leaving me feeling misled and gaslighted.
What started as a seemingly good experience quickly turned into a costly mess. I cannot recommend Carteck after being left to cover the financial and mechanical fallout of a repair they performed incorrectly and then refused to take responsibility for.

Mike was able to work with insurance to approve a transmission repair that originally had been deemed not accident related damage. His thorough diagnosis with pictures was above and beyond, excellent customer service and quality work.

Dropped of my car late Monday evening and by Tuesday afternoon I had received the reason for the oil leak and a quote for the repairs I requested. Car was ready by Thursday.
Mike spoke to me throughout the process and kept me informed on the estimated cost and when work would be completed. The car came back in better shape then I had even anticipated! The cost was very reasonable for all the work I had completed and Mike even came in on his off day to allow me to pick up my car.
Highly recommend Mike and will be keeping him as my mechanic from now on!

This guy is honest. You know he’s good because he always 3 weeks out so tell your car to break down accordingly.
